About The Killers
The 80’s are alive and well, so long as the Killers continue to channel the spandex and polyester spirit of their New Wave forefathers.
Amidst the sin and decadence of Las Vegas’ neon lit sky, Brandon Flowers and company walked as strangers in a land of chain smokers and all you can eat buffets, but beyond its borders they emerged as contenders for the Top 40 crown.
However, their supposed “overnight success” took much longer than most would have imagined, as they spent a great deal of their time providing music for drag shows and playing abroad in the United Kingdom.
Then in 2004, the Killers released their massively successful debut album Hot Fuss whose accompanying singles “Somebody Told Me”, “All These Things That I’ve Done”, and “Mr. Brightside” soared to the top of the charts where they remained for several weeks.
