How one achieves vengeance seven times over is beyond me, but one thing is for certain there are few bands with as much repressed anger as Avenged Sevenfold.
The Huntington Beach, California based heavy metal ensemble formed in 1999 and released their first album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet with little fanfare.
It wasn’t until several years later that the appropriately named M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ, and The Rev, found success with breakout effort City of Evil, whose accompanying singles “Beast and the Harlot” and “Bat Country” found their way into the mainstream with MTV airplay and appearances in the popular Guitar Hero video game franchise.
