About Rob Zombie
A certifiable triple threat in the arenas of writing, filmmaking, and music, there is no shortage of talent for the one they call Rob Zombie.
Born Robert Bartleh Cummings on January 12, 1965, Zombie formed the aptly named White Zombie while attending the Parsons School of Design in New York’s Greenwich Village.
Heavily influenced by the horror movies he grew up watching as a child, Rob Zombie and his band’s aesthetic skewed more towards the morbid and macabre, while still evoking the same testosterone laden undertones the Heavy Metal genre was known for.
White Zombie achieved multi-platinum notoriety with biker bar throwback “Thunder Kiss ‘65” and the deliriously perverse “More Human than Human”.
Rob Zombie eventually opted for the solo route and in 1998 released Hillbilly Deluxe, whose accompanying singles “Dragula” and “Living Dead Girl” helped propel the album to a number five placement on the Billboard charts.
