PANTERA SNAKE IN SKULL STICKER
SNAKE IN SKULL - STICKER
Heavy Metal was going through a bit of a transitional period when Pantera burst onto the scene in 1990 with their highly influential album Cowboys from Hell.
Comprised of lead vocalist Phil Anselmo, guitarist Dimebag Darrell, bass player Rex Brown, and Vinnie Paul on drums, Pantera unleashed a brutal onslaught of raw power and syncopated rhythms, the likes of which had never been seen before, and in the process created the Groove Metal sub-genre that reigned for the better part of a decade.
Pantera disbanded shortly before Darrell’s violent 2004 murder at the hands of a paranoid schizophrenic, but the aforementioned “Cowboys from Hell”, “Cemetery Gates”, and “Walk”, remain amongst their most enduring legacies.
