About Beck
If any musician has earned the distinction of being the second coming of Bob Dylan, it would have to be Beck.
The Los Angeles native left a Manhattan Project-sized crater on the 90’s burgeoning Alternative Rock scene with the release of the Dust Brothers produced Odelay, whose brilliant fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, and Funk helped catapult Beck into the limelight.
However, it was his 2002 magnum opus Sea Change which truly solidified his place amongst the Rock elite, as a lovelorn Beck exercised his demons with one heart-wrenching song after the next.
Although few songs could replace the majesty of “The Golden Age” or “Lost Cause”, the eccentric singer/songwriter will likely always be remembered for introducing the world to “a destination a little down the road from the habitation and the towns we know.”
