AFI SKULL AND ROSES STICKER
SKULL AND ROSES - STICKER
Isolation is often a catalyst for artistic impulse, and when surrounded by acres of deciduous forest in Ukiah, California, one can’t help but be creative.
Like most bands, AFI languished in obscurity, playing in seedy bars for gas money and bowls of salted peanuts.
It wasn’t until 2003 that Adam Carson, Hunter Burgan, Jade Puget, and their androgynous frontman, Davey Havok, struck it big with their major label debut Sing the Sorrow, whose accompanying singles “Girls Not Grey”, “The Leaving Song, Pt. II”, and “Silver and Cold” each received significant airplay on radio stations across the nation.
Since then AFI have gone on to become icons in a thriving Punk Rock scene.
