About Motley Crue
Most historians attempt to crystallize the 80’s into a spandex and polyester sideshow, but in reality it was a decade of drug abuse and debauchery the likes of which has not been seen since, and no band epitomized its hedonistic excess more than Motley Crue.
Founded in 1981, Motley Crue gained notoriety along Hollywood’s famed Sunset Strip and quickly became the torch bearers for a burgeoning Glam Metal movement.
In 1989 Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil released their seven times platinum smash hit Dr. Feelgood, whose accompanying title track and fellow ode to addiction “Kickstart My Heart”, each received Grammy nods.
